Symptom: On the log in page of Ensim Automation Suite(EAS), when an user enters his/her credentials and checks the 'Remember Me' checkbox, he/she gets an error such as –“ User email@example.com does not exist” upon next login. If that box is not checked, the credentials work. The “Remember Me” checkbox in the EAS login page (as shown in image below) when enabled does not remembers the login credentials (such as Username and Password) of the user.
Cause: The 'Remember Me' checkbox works in tandem with the browser settings to save passwords. It reuses the browser's capability to save passwords just like 'Remember password' mechanism offered in most commercial login portals today.
Resolution: Please perform the following steps in the browser for resolving this issue.
If you are using Chrome, to make use of 'Remember me', you will have turn on the "Offer to save passwords" option in Password Settings as shown in image below.
(Go to 'Customize and Control Google Chrome icon' on top right side of your browser->Click Settings->Passwords).
If you are using Mozilla Firefox, to make use of 'Remember me', you will have turn on the "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" option in “Privacy and Security” Settings as shown in image below.
(Open “Menu”. Next Go to ‘Options' ->Click Privacy and Security option on the left-> Under Browser Privacy section enable the checkbox “Ask to save logins and passwords for websites”.
If you are using Microsoft Edge, to enable Passwords and Form-fill, you will have to open Edge browser and click on the 3-dotted More actions link in the top right corner. Click on Settings and then scroll down and click on the View advanced settings button.
Under Privacy and Services, you will see two sliders – Offer to save passwords and Save form entries. Move the buttons to the On position. This will ensure that the next time you fill passwords or fill forms on any website, Edge will securely save this data.
