Irwin Gross | General Partner, Worldview. Chairman, Ensim Corporation Irwin
brings more than a decade of experience working with high technology
enterprises as an advisor, strategist, and investor. He focuses on
investments in software, systems, and services companies. Irwin
currently also serves on the Board of Directors of Stretch. Irwin
joined Worldview from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he
co-founded the firm’s nationally recognized intellectual property
counseling practice and served as a manager of the firm’s venture
capital fund. As part of this practice, Irwin leveraged his extensive
intellectual property expertise to assist companies in developing new
market strategies, products, and revenue streams. Companies for whom
Irwin has worked include a host of successful venture-backed firms,
such as Brocade, Avanex, VMware, RealNetworks, and Netscape, as well as
large technology enterprises such as EMC, Broadcom, and
Hewlett-Packard. Irwin received a B.S. in Computer Science from
Stanford University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
David J. Wippich | President and CEO, Ensim Corporation As President and CEO, David comes to Ensim with over twenty years of
experience at international technology companies. Most recently he
served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Active ISP (AISP),
one of Europe's largest hosting service providers. Previously he was
Executive Vice President of marketing and sales at ConnectInc.com
(CNKT), a high-volume e-commerce platform provider serving complex
trading networks for Global 2000 companies. In prior positions, David
was Vice President and General Manager for the Internet and Embedded
Products Division of Phoenix Technologies (PTEC) and Award Software
(AWRD), and held a variety of senior sales and operations management
positions at Acer, the world's fifth largest PC maker. David attended
Stanford University and Southern Oregon University.
Peter Sonsini| Partner – NEA
Pete joined NEA in 2005, specializing in software, systems and services
companies. His current board memberships include Compiere, Limbo,
Rinera, and Teracent and he led NEA’s investment in Xensource (acquired
by Citrix Systems). Pete has 10+ years of operating experience in
Silicon Valley that spans executive sales, marketing and finance roles.
Prior to joining NEA, Pete was on the executive team at VMware where he
built the company’s initial strategic alliances and grew annual sales
through OEMs from $0 to $40 million in four years. Prior to VMware,
Pete was one of the first hires on the business side at Mirapoint,
where he ran product management. Pete also served in various sales and
marketing positions in Hewlett-Packard’s server division, including
Worldwide Product Manager for the mid-range server business. Pete began
his career at Montgomery Securities where he was an Associate in the
firm’s Technology Corporate Finance group. Pete received his MBA from
the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and his BA
from the University of California, Berkeley.
Srikanth Chari | Founder and CEO, Watch360 Systems Srikanth Chari is the founder and CEO of Watch360 Systems, a provider of automated competitive intelligence solutions. Srikanth was a co-founder and VP of marketing at CyberMedia, Inc. a software company that completed its IPO in 1996 and was subsequently acquired by Network Associates in 1998. During Srikanth's tenure at CyberMedia, the company grew its revenues from $6M per year to over $70M per year within three years. Prior to CyberMedia, Srikanth was a director of marketing at NetLabs, a network management company. Srikanth is an active member of TiE and has served on the boards of several companies in Silicon Valley.
Srinivasan Keshav | Associate Professor, University of Waterloo, Ontario S. Keshav is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Tetherless Computing at the School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. One of Ensim Corporation's co-founders, he was previously the Chief Technology Officer at Ensim Corporation. Earlier in his career he was a researcher at Bell Labs and an Associate Professor at Cornell University. He is the author of a widely used graduate textbook on computer networking, has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers, and holds 13 US patents. He has been awarded the Director's Gold Medal at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, the Sakrison Prize at UC Berkeley, and the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship. Keshav received a B.Tech from IIT Delhi in 1986 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1991.
